A recruitment agency is seeking a Systems Requirements Manager in Chelmsford or Portsmouth for a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will lead requirements management activities, maintain databases, and implement processes across the engineering lifecycle. Strong expertise in Systems Engineering and experience with tools like IBM DOORS Next are essential. Responsibilities

Systems Requirements Manager

Location: Chelmsford or Portsmouth - Hybrid

Base pay range (provided by Atlas Recruitment Group Ltd: actual pay dependent on skills and experience).

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and managing requirements activities across the engineering lifecycle
• Owning and maintaining the requirements database
• Defining and implementing robust requirements management processes, plans, and database schemas to meet project and customer needs
• Administering access, training, and support for requirements tools, e.g. DOORS, Next
• Facilitating the integration of tools and data exchange with third parties
• Monitoring requirements stability, generating key metrics, and supporting the production of requirement documentation and specifications

Your skills and experiences:

• Expert-level knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, with strong systems thinking and holistic approaches to requirement definition and management
• Familiarity with key standards related to requirements specification, e.g. ISO 15288, ISO 12207, ISO 29148, IEEE 1016
• Proven experience in requirements management tools, e.g. IBM DOORS Next
• In-depth understanding of the full engineering lifecycle, including lifecycle models such as Waterfall and Agile, and tools like JIRA
