Centalion seeks a System Engineer Team Lead to guide a global IT Infrastructure team, overseeing core platforms, security, and project delivery. You will drive reliability, performance, and standardization across international operations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years in systems engineering with leadership experience.
• Expertise in Exchange (O365 & On-prem), Windows Server, AD, VMware, Intune, and backups (Veeam).
• Strong infra architecture, security and performance optimization.
• Experience managing global environments across multiple time zones.
• Familiarity with ITIL, change/incident management, and monitoring tools.
• MCSE or equivalent certifications desirable.
• Leadership and team development.

• Root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of system engineers.
• Allocate resources, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of tasks and projects.
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and guide resolution efforts.
• Oversee provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of global systems infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, messaging).
• Drive standardization and automation of infrastructure processes to reduce risk.
• Ensure systems are managed to SLAs, security policies, and compliance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design and implementation of infrastructure projects (upgrades, migrations, new deployments).
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams for smooth transitions to production.
• Provide architectural input and strategic IT roadmaps alignment.
• Oversee administration of Exchange (O365 & On-prem), AD, Intune, VMware, and related platforms.
• Ensure timely patching, upgrades, and performance tuning per change management procedures.
• Maintain documentation, monitor system health, and proactive issue detection/resolution.
• Work with global IT teams, business units, and vendors to ensure service delivery.
• Communicate system performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
• Participate in audits, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity efforts.

Job Description

The System Engineer Team Lead is part of IT Infrastructure team and reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager. This role is a senior technical leader responsible for overseeing the global systems infrastructure team. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of enterprise systems. The Team Lead will guide the team in delivering high-quality support, managing complex projects, and aligning infrastructure initiatives with business and IT strategy.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of system engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Allocate resources, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of infrastructure tasks and projects
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and guide resolution efforts
• Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of global systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and messaging platforms
• Drive standardization and automation of infrastructure processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk
• Ensure systems are managed in accordance with SLAs, security policies, and compliance requirements

Profile

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Exchange (O365 & On-prem), Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Intune, and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam)
• Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, security, and performance optimization
• Experience managing global environments and supporting systems across multiple time zones
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, change/incident management, and enterprise monitoring tools
• MCSE or equivalent certifications are highly desirable
