A leading company is seeking a Software Support Engineer/DevOps Engineer to enhance their transportation operations. The REALM EPIC Team in Hyderabad is seeking a Software Support Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join a team that integrates and manages innovative solutions to enhance Amazon Transportation. This team handles operations that deliver shipments worldwide to and from our fulfillment centers and third-party locations.
The team provides on-call support on a rotation basis. Your solutions will directly impact our customers! Success in this role depends on your ability to learn quickly and manage multiple overlapping tasks effectively.
Your problem-solving skills and solutions will benefit customers directly, ensuring Amazon meets all its commitments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java), performing SQL queries, tracking and resolving technical challenges, and building tools to automate operational activities. You will also work alongside development teams on Amazon corporate and divisional software projects, updating and enhancing current software, automating support processes, and documenting systems.
This role requires you to be proactive and adaptable. High-impact issues often involve coordination across multiple groups, providing a broad impact scope.
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have strong organizational abilities, multitask effectively, work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure. You should be capable of identifying problems proactively and implementing solutions to prevent outages. Your ability to prioritize projects, make sound judgments, and improve customer experience will directly influence Amazon Transportation's network efficiency.
