Key job responsibilities:

A SysDE maintains team services, troubleshoots issues, and ensures reliable deployment of updates. They develop automation and tools to reduce manual operations and meet business needs.

About the team:

The Systems Development team manages software services and platforms that build, operate, monitor, and assure the AWS network within a region.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in software development, systems engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the SDLC
• Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (host networking, storage, *nix OS)
• Experience programming in at least one modern language (Python, C++, C#, Java, Golang, Ruby)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Python
• Experience designing, developing, or operating cloud services on AWS or other platforms
