Systems Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £57,000
Location: Hybrid (3–4 days per week on-site) Bristol
Security Clearance: Must be a British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship

Responsibilities

• Help operators understand the battlespace, manage weapon systems, and deliver mission-critical capability.
• Work on upgrades to existing C2 platforms and new developments for international customers, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to ensure everything performs as it should.
• Contribute to the functional design of C2 software, refining requirements, analysing system behaviour, and enhancing performance.
• Focus on improving how users interact with complex systems and solving technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems design or systems engineering, ideally within complex or safety-critical environments.
• Enjoy working across multiple disciplines, solving problems, and finding practical solutions.
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience is equally valued.
