Invinity Energy Systems is seeking a System Controls Engineer with expertise in PLC and HMI development to join our innovative software team. This role involves designing and developing software that powers our distributed battery control and energy management systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness over a 25-year lifespan. The position offers a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office 2 days a week or 8 days a month.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC code using structured text and ladder logic.
• Develop and implement algorithms for energy management and battery control.
• Optimize system performance and ensure high reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain software documentation and promote good engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience with ladder and structured text programming.
• Experience with field bus protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet-based protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile environment.

Desirable Skills

• Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi PLCs/HMIs or Wago PFC.
• Experience with other text-based programming languages.
• Participation in prototype projects and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
