Role: Linux Admin

Location: Cambridge - 3 Days a Week

Duration: Long Term Contract

Inside IR35 Contract

(No sponsorship available; profiles from UK only are required)

We are seeking a Linux System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing on-premise data centers and a strong background in Linux systems (Ubuntu / CentOS).

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining and operating on-premise data centers
  2. Managing enterprise storage solutions including ISCSI and SAN technologies
  3. Using automation tools such as Ansible and Foreman
  4. Configuring and managing IP networking, DNS, and firewalls
  5. Writing scripts in Python and shell, and using command-line tools
  6. Understanding containerization and orchestration technologies
  7. Executing remediation projects, preferably within PCI-DSS environments
  8. Collaborating effectively across teams and communicating clearly
  9. Using ITSM tools like Jira and ServiceNow

Nice to haves include:

  1. Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  2. Experience with Hyper-V, Microsoft AD, AAD, and VMWare
  3. Maintaining OpenStack environments
  4. Managing build systems, source code repositories, TeamCity, and GitLab
  5. Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Achieving target state for program and feature space integration
