The Business Partner role for Commercial is a strategic interface between IT and the local GB and Ireland Commercial stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to understand local business goals and identify opportunities for Technology to add value. The role will work collaboratively to create and maintain the local Commercial roadmap, ensuring relevant Technology projects are prioritized and executed within plan, scope, and budget.

They will act as the primary voice for local Commercial stakeholders, ensuring business needs are well understood and addressed by Technology services. They will be a trusted advisor, advocating for standardized Technology products aligned with Europe.

The Commercial Business Partner will develop an aligned local Commercial Technology roadmap with a 1-3+ year horizon, understanding short and long-term needs, and collaborating to ensure solutions deliver expected outcomes on time, scope, and budget. The role promotes adoption of standard technologies and brings insights from wider European initiatives.

This role is based in the UK or Ireland, with occasional travel across Sysco Europe.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Technology relationship with local Commercial stakeholders across sales, service, pricing, digital, and marketing.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for local Commercial stakeholders regarding Technology products/services.
  • Own the local Commercial roadmap, ensuring delivery aligns with priorities and integrates with the European Commercial roadmap.
  • Manage the local Commercial Technology capital plan, ensuring proper spend and governance.
  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional teams within the matrix organization as needed.

About you:

You will manage the relationship between Technology and the local Commercial market, ensuring alignment of goals and roadmaps over 1-3+ years. You will be the primary Technology contact for demand intake, facilitating project prioritization, and supporting the wider European Commercial plan. You will help develop business cases and ensure solutions meet business needs, working cross-functionally to deliver projects on time, within cost, and ensuring products perform as expected. You will act as a positive ambassador for IT, strengthening relationships between Business and Technology.
