Job summary

Princes Group in Bradford is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to own and optimise the production processes in the Ingredients Processing Centre, delivering KPIs within the QCDSP framework and supporting the site vision of operational excellence.

You will operate MES and SCADA systems, apply 5S/continuous improvement techniques, manage raw materials with FIFO and batch principles, and train the team on SOPs while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• 5S and BIT trained or equivalent NVQ Level II.
• Food Awareness and Hygiene certified.
• Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office).
• Autonomous Maintenance – basic mechanical skills.
• Effective communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and low-level correction; pump and valve isolation.
• MES/SCADA error management; chemical handling and awareness.
• Mechanical maintenance at a basic level (AM).
• System auditing and reporting.
• Performing dynamic risk assessments.
• Compilation of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Project team involvement and delivery as required.
• Continuous improvement of plant and process.
