Job description

The successful candidate will work on the continuous development of our proprietary RegTech software solutions in an Agile environment. The engineer will primarily work with a LAMP stack, using Symfony 7+ for backend microservices development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dynamic development team on PHP application development
• Contribute to the software architecture development of our applications
• Develop new software modules based on business process specifications, with exposure to the full technology stack
• Fix bugs in the internal codebase
• Work with superusers to identify and specify business requirements for new features
• Be aware of ongoing security risks and solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code following OOP SOLID principles

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience with modern PHP frameworks (Symfony or Laravel preferred)
• At least 4 years of experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Understanding of microservice architecture
• Knowledge of OOP SOLID principles
• Experience designing robust REST APIs
• Experience with automated unit testing
• Experience working with relational databases
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus
• Experience with queueing systems like RabbitMQ is a plus
• Experience with caching systems is a plus
• Familiarity with IDEs and Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Jira)
• Willingness to learn about financial compliance and business workflows

Additional Qualifications
