Job Description: Sybase L3 Specialist

Organization: K&K Talents GmbH, an international recruiting agency providing technical resources across Europe since 1993, is hiring for a client in the UK.

Position: Sybase L3 Specialist

Location: London, UK (3 days onsite per week)

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Project Type: Inside IR35

Mandatory: External keystore (HSM)

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Work with ASE 12.5 and above, and Replication Server 12.6 and above.
  2. Create Devices, Databases, Segments.
  3. Perform database and log backups.
  4. Recover suspect databases and refresh databases in replication and non-replication environments.
  5. Handle job failures, troubleshoot database errors, and perform performance tuning.
  6. Monitor and troubleshoot Replication Server, including configuration checks, thread management, device capacity, logs, and service restarts.
  7. Maintain order and quality in tasks, work effectively under pressure.
  8. Engage in problem solving, multitasking, and proactive teamwork.
  9. Communicate effectively with end users, both spoken and written in English.
  10. Develop understanding of business requirements quickly.
  11. Support on-call escalations, perform root cause analysis, and resolve tickets within SLAs.
  12. Adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  13. Contribute to knowledge base updates, train new staff, and coach analysts.
  14. Ensure positive customer experience through first call resolution and minimal case reopens.
