Job Opportunity: Social Work Assistant (Part-Time, Permanent)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Justice Women's Service. We are seeking a part-time Social Work Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. The Women's Justice Service provides tailored, trauma-informed support to women involved with the justice system across South Lanarkshire. The primary aim is to support women to reduce risk, improve wellbeing, and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will co-facilitate weekly Women's Hubs across South Lanarkshire, offer one-to-one support and assessments, and contribute to the service's development. The role requires availability on at least three of four days from Tuesday to Friday.

Key qualities include a strong value base with a non-judgemental approach, excellent relationship-building skills, ability to collaborate with partner agencies, strong communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.

Applicants should have a sound knowledge of trauma-informed practice and experience working with women in vulnerable situations, preferably within the justice system. An HNC or equivalent qualification in health and social care is required. Willingness to undertake necessary training is essential.
