Switchgear Services, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking an enthusiastic and analytical individual to join our Finance team as an Assistant Finance Business Partner, supporting our growing Switchgear Services business. This role involves financial analysis, supporting decision-making, and driving value within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner and operational teams to deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
2. Assist in preparing management accounts, analyzing variances, and providing insights to support business decisions.
3. Support budgeting and forecasting with realistic assumptions.
4. Contribute to improving financial controls, processes, and reporting tools.
5. Identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions to improve efficiency and profitability.
6. Assist in contract reviews, project costings, and commercial analysis.
7. Build relationships with operational and commercial teams for finance queries.
8. Ensure compliance with financial standards and deadlines.
9. Participate in business improvement and transformation initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Relevant finance qualification (AAT, CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with financial systems and Excel; familiarity with ERP or BI tools is advantageous.
