Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an aspiring Switchgear Engineer in Mansfield to progress to an Applications Engineer. The role offers £43,000–£48,000 base with £60,000 OTE, progression, training and private healthcare, plus 32 days of holiday.

You will work closely with internal teams and clients to advise on suitable solutions, prepare quotations, amend drawings in AutoCAD, and assist with FATs and BOM management. The company has 50+ years in the industry and strong growth plans.

Are you an aspiring Applications Engineer who has knowledge of Switchgear, either hands-on or design, looking to take a step up into a varied and technically challenging off-the-tools role where you will become a client facing technical expert?

In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external clients to understand technical requirements and provide expert advice on suitable solutions. You will support the preparation of quotations and estimates, produce and amend drawings using AutoCAD, assist with FAT’s and manage BOM’s.
