Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Switchgear Engineer in Mansfield with a view to progression into Applications Engineering. The role offers 43,000 - 48,000 base salary plus 60,000 OTE, plus progression opportunities, ongoing training and private healthcare.

The position is based on site in Mansfield. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to understand technical requirements, prepare quotes, produce AutoCAD drawings and assist with FATs and BOM management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of switchgear and aspirations to move into an Applications Engineer role.
• Experience with AutoCAD or willingness to learn.
• Strong client-facing communication is desirable.

Are you an aspiring Applications Engineer who has knowledge of Switchgear, either hands-on or design, looking to take a step up into a varied and technically challenging off-the-tools role where you will become a client facing technical expert?

In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external clients to understand technical requirements and provide expert advice on suitable solutions. You will support the preparation of quotations and estimates, produce and amend drawings using AutoCAD, assist with FAT's and manage BOM's.

This role would suit an Aspiring Applications Engineer from a Switchgear background, looking for an interesting and varied position within an industry leading company where they can progress into a variety of senior positions and grow their technical skills with inhouse training.

The Role

• Act as point of contact between internal teams and external clients

• 5 hours a week, flexible hours, optional overtime
