Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Switchboard Operator | Registration Clerk to join their team! This position works rotating days and evenings with shifts such as 06:45 to 13:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 06:45 to 14:53, 13:00 to 21:00, 13:00 to 21:08, 14:45 to 21:00, and 07:30 to 14:30.

What Will You Work On?

In this role, you will perform a variety of duties including:

  • Operating switchboard and public address systems

  • Patient registration and admitting duties with bed booking
  • Cashier duties: receiving payments, recording transactions, issuing change and receipts
  • Handling patient valuables for safekeeping
