Are you ready to make a difference in the community? Our client is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Welsh Speaking Switchboard Operators to join the North Wales Police team in St Asaph! If you have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you!

Position: Switchboard Operator
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)
Hourly Rate: £16.25 (including shift allowance)
Working Pattern: Full Time (4 on, 4 off) latest finish midnight
Location: Force Control Room, St Asaph
End Date: November 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch customer service to all callers.
• Answer calls at a centralised switchboard, using prescriptive questioning to philtre and direct them efficiently.
• Resolve queries at the first point of contact whenever possible.
• Operate the switchboard fault reporting system and notify supervisors of any necessary actions.
• Support Control Room Operations in major incident situations as needed.
• Communicate and transmit messages effectively, utilising Force Systems to resolve queries.
• Uphold policies on Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, and Data Protection.

What We're Looking For

• To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:

• Fluency in both Welsh (Level 2) and English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team or work independently.
• Proficiency in information technology, including knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• A commitment to compliance with relevant legislation and best practises.

Important Information

Applicants must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 continuous years.
