The successful candidate will be supported to develop skills and competencies to operate telephony software, handle emergency calls (such as cardiac arrests, fires, intruders, etc.), and gain knowledge of all areas/sites within NHS Tayside to connect callers to appropriate departments.
Training will be provided for relevant software packages. An excellent telephone manner and communication skills are essential.
Switchboard Services operates 24/7/365; therefore, you will be required to work out of hours as part of the rota, with enhancements paid accordingly.
The post is based at Switchboard Services, Ninewells Hospital.
Hours of work: 27.87 hours per week, averaged over a 4-week roster. The role includes out-of-hours shifts, including weekends.
