Job description

Abingdon Sports and Leisure is seeking to appoint L2 Swim England qualified (SEQ) Swimming Teachers on a self-employed basis for our swim school which operates on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Abingdon School Sports Centre. We follow the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) framework, stages 1-10.

Self-employed swim teachers are primarily needed to provide cover, but regular teaching sessions may also be available. Additional hours may be available for private 1-1 lessons or during holidays for intensive courses.

We are also seeking SEQ or STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association) L1 Swimming Assistants (Teaching) to support our L2 Qualified Swimming Teachers with the swim school on a casual worker (hourly) basis. Previous experience of teaching swimming or working with children would be beneficial.
