Job description
Overview

Swimming Teachers report to the Camp Manager and work with a like-minded team to plan and deliver safe, structured, active sessions for children aged 5 to 17 during school holidays. Sessions focus on developing water confidence and basic stroke development through structured, active games and fun activities rather than a traditional learn-to-swim programme. Safety is a priority, with close collaboration with Lifeguards to prepare areas and equipment, manage risk assessments, monitor water conditions and incidents. Staff follow Kings Camps Swimming Policy and venue procedures. Sessions typically last 30–45 minutes, with a maximum of 16 children per pool and operating between 9.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Child safety is the top priority, including supervision during breaks, participation in sessions, safe use of equipment, incident recording, behaviour management, and maintaining health and safety standards.
