Here at Basingstoke Leisure, our goal is to get more people active by providing affordable, safe, and enjoyable lessons for all. We are currently recruiting Swimming Teachers to work various hours to expand our programs and ensure we can achieve this goal. If you are passionate about providing accessible lessons to children and adults of all abilities and backgrounds, this role might be perfect for you.

We follow the proven Swim England learn-to-swim framework to build confidence in our swimmers through fun and engaging lessons. Many of our swimmers have progressed to competitive swimming and even represented our country.

As a swimming teacher, you will deliver safe, enjoyable, and progressive lessons. We also prioritize your career development and personal growth.

Serco manages these facilities daily on behalf of the Trust.

Requirements for the role

• Excellent customer service skills and comfort dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Hold an STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (formerly ASA) Level 2 qualification.
• Having a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous but not essential, as we can provide training to obtain these certifications free of charge.
