Job description

GLL is currently looking for swimming teachers based at OneNK Leisure Centre. Join us as a swimming teacher and play a key role in developing our customers' swimming skills. This is your chance to deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons that give people real confidence in the water – an invaluable life skill.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a positive image of the Centre by providing a welcoming, helpful, and professional poolside service.
2. Comply with the 'Customer Charter' and ensure standards are maintained.
3. Ensure the safety and control of pupils during lessons and enforce relevant regulations.
4. Encourage pupils to enroll in further courses.
5. Assist with new and re-enrollments as required by the General Manager.
6. Follow the Safeguarding Policy, Behaviour Policy, and other relevant procedures.
7. Record and complete relevant awards, ensuring standards are met.
8. Teach according to the standards set within the product manual for consistency across centres.

Qualifications and Skills:

• STA Award or Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
• Ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and relevant legislation.
• Understanding of Child Protection policies.
• Approachable, friendly, patient, and capable of building trust and motivating pupils.
