Qualifications

• Must have SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver well-organised swimming lessons.

• Ability to use your own initiative while following instructions and established procedures.
• Friendly, flexible and cooperative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and approachable Swim Teacher to join our team at Cheltenham College.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging swimming lessons to pupils and swimmers of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their swimming skills, improve technique and build confidence in the water.

You will play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and positive swimming environment, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and customer service are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging swimming lessons tailored to a range of ages and abilities.
• Support swimmers in developing their skills, improving technique and building confidence in the water.
• Maintain the safety and welfare of all staff and users of the swimming facilities.

Essential Requirements

• SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

• A current First Aid qualification.
• A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

If you do not currently hold a First Aid qualification or NPLQ, in-house training may be available.

Terms and Conditions

• Competitive hourly pay:Up to £20.44 per hour, plus holiday pay, depending on age, experience and swimming teaching qualification.
• Rolling, term-time-only contract, offering work during the school terms.
• Flexible shift opportunities, including weekdays and weekends.
• Access to College sports facilitiesfor you and your family during designated staff allocation times.
