Job summary

Cheltenham College is seeking an enthusiastic Swim Teacher to join our team. You will deliver engaging swimming lessons to pupils and swimmers of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their skills and build water confidence.

You will create a safe, welcoming environment and uphold high standards of health, safety and customer service while delivering well-structured lessons and adapting to individual needs.

Qualifications

• SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to plan and deliver well-organised swimming lessons.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• The ability to use your own initiative while following instructions and established procedures.
• A friendly, flexible and co-operative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Desirable: First Aid qualification and NPLQ.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and approachable Swim Teacher to join our team at Cheltenham College.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging swimming lessons to pupils and swimmers of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their swimming skills, improve technique and build confidence in the water.

You will play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and positive swimming environment, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and customer service are maintained at all times.

Essential Requirements

Desirable Qualifications

• A current First Aid qualification.
• A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

If you do not currently hold a First Aid qualification or NPLQ, in-house training may be available.

Terms and Conditions

• Competitive hourly pay: Up to £20.44 per hour, plus holiday pay, depending on age, experience and swimming teaching qualification.
• Rolling, term-time-only contract, offering work during the school terms.
• Flexible shift opportunities, including weekdays and weekends.
• Access to College sports facilities for you and your family during designated staff allocation times.
