Job summary

Monmouthshire County Council in Chepstow is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused swimming team member to join our leisure service. You will deliver friendly, patient instruction and support learners of all ages to develop skills and confidence in the water.

This role requires a DBS check (Enhanced with Children's Barred List) and Welsh language skills are desirable. The position may be pro rata if not full-time, with location at Chepstow Leisure Centre, NP16 5LX.

Qualifications

• Ability to support swimming instruction for learners of all ages.
• Commitment to safe practice and building confidence in the water.
• DBS check required (Enhanced with Children Barred List).
• Welsh language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist swimming instructors in sessions and support learners of all ages.
• Help learners refine technique and build water confidence during sessions.
• Adhere to safety policies and safeguarding requirements.

SALARY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year.
i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers

Location

Chepstow Leisure Centre, NP16 5LX, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens.
