Job summary

Colchester City Council is looking for Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teachers to deliver Learn to Swim and School Swimming programmes at Leisure World Colchester. You will be professional, punctual and well-organised in your delivery of lessons and able to cover fellow instructors when needed.

The role requires availability for evenings and/or weekends, and the successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check including children and adults list.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Swim England qualification in teaching swimming.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons and cover other assistants when required.
• Maintain high standards of service with a professional, engaging approach.

The Council are seeking Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teachers who must be professional, punctual and well-organised in their implementation and organisation of swimming classes under the Swim England Learn to Swim and School Swimming Programmes.

Duties of the role

We are seeking highly committed, enthusiastic and motivated teachers to deliver our swimming lessons and cover fellow assistants and instructors when required.

This post requires high levels of commitment to customer care and professional knowledge to ensure our members receive exceptional standards of service. We are looking for teachers who want to develop their skills, have a strong water-based background and appropriate qualifications to cover a variety of swimming classes.

The successful candidate will be an engaging individual with a flexible and professional approach to their work to ensure that the highest standards of service and delivery are maintained.

Qualifications and skills required

To be successful in this role, you must hold the appropriate Level 2 Swim England qualification in teaching swimming and ideally have a background of working in the industry. You must be available to work at evenings and/or weekends.
