About the School - Polam School
Polam School is an independent pre-preparatory school and nursery, with a heritage spanning over 100 years.

Located in the heart of Bedford, our school provides the perfect home from home environment for your child to begin their educational journey, from the age of 1 to 7 years.

With art, swimming and IT all introduced in small groups from an early age, our curriculum goes way beyond national expectations.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for a Swimming Instructor to join our fantastic team.

About the role
As a Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons that are both fun and safe for participants of all ages and abilities. You will help nurture water confidence and develop swimming skills in a positive and supportive environment. Working alongside a dedicated team, you’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons while building strong relationships with students to ensure individual progress. Your role will also involve maintaining up-to-date training and certifications, collaborating with other team members, and contributing to the success of the swim school.

This is a zero hour, term-time role.

Ideal candidates will have swimming teaching qualifications, along with experience in leisure and sport delivery. Confidence, patience, and empathy are essential, as you’ll work with participants of various ages and abilities. You must be committed to personal growth and willing to learn and improve. A strong team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues, you will also demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of the role.
