Job summary

GLL is seeking a Baby & Pre-School Swimming Teacher in Hatfield to deliver high-quality baby and preschool lessons in alignment with the SWIMBiES programme. You will teach in-water sessions, sing to engage children, and act as the face of our baby lesson programme for customers at our centres.

The role emphasizes creating a safe, welcoming environment and communicating effectively with parents while supporting career development within a values-driven charity.

Qualifications

As aBaby & Pre-School Swimming Teacheryour primary role will be to deliver excellent quality Baby & Pre School swimming lessonsinlinewith our productSWIMBiES.Baby & Pre-School Swimming Teachersdeliver in the water for lessons, following the plans of the programme. Singing is a large part of therole,you will need to be confident to sing in public. You will be the face of our baby lesson programme at centres which means you will be expected to be able to communicate effectively to all customers, as well as being welcoming, creating a safe,funand loving teaching environment.

What qualifications do I need to hold?

Baby & Pre School Swimming Teachersmust hold one of the followingqualifications:*

• STA Level 2 Award in Baby & Pre School Swimming Teacher
• Swim England Level 2 Teaching Pre-School Swimming
• STA Level 3 Diploma in Baby & Pre School Swimming Teacher

*If the above qualification is not held but you hold aSTA Level 2 Award or certificate qualification and you have a passion for delivering Baby & Pre School swimming lessons we will work with you to help develop your delivery experience. STA Level 2 Awardin Baby andPre School Mustbe completedwith in6 months of taking on regular lessons

Experience/ Knowledge

As aBaby & Pre-School Swimming Teacheryou will have experience and knowledge in the following areas:

• Experience working with babies & toddler’s
• Experience working with parents & guardians
• Understanding of child development in relation to baby swimming lessons
• Knowledge of songs and games suitable for baby swimming lessons

Planning and completing any necessary administration will be a vital part of your role ensuring that the customer experience is positive from entering the centre through to changing and then during the lessons itself.
