Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a part-time Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons at Cirencester Leisure Centre. You will teach learners of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

Join a friendly team and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment. Role requires Level 2 qualification and enhanced DBS; hours are up to 3 per week, Saturdays on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification
• Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons at Cirencester Leisure Centre to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals
• Support learners in progressing through the programme and adapting to different abilities
• Maintain pool safety and supervise pool area and surrounds during lessons
• Communicate learner progress and any concerns to parents/guardians as appropriate
