Job summary

Freedom Leisure is hiring a Swim Teacher at Bourton Leisure Centre to deliver lessons to diverse ages and abilities, ensuring learners feel supported and progress.

The role requires a Level 2 swimming teaching qualification and an Enhanced DBS check, with up to 1.5 hours of teaching per week. Freedom Leisure emphasises training and career development within an inclusive, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s programme.

Responsibilities

• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.

Job description

In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons at Bourton Leisure Centre to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

If you want to progress further, we will support this through additional training, both formal and on the job will be key. However, we also appreciate that not everyone wants to ‘move up the ladder’ and that’s absolutely fine with us. What is really important is that you are happy in your work.
