Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and achieve their goals. You may also Lifeguard between lessons and support administration tasks as required.

The role offers casual hours with training provided, and opportunities to grow within a large charitable leisure trust across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification is required.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme.
• Communicate with parents/guardians concerning development and progression.
• Assist in supervising customers in the pool and surrounds to ensure safety and discipline.
• Assist with administration tasks as needed.

In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals. In this role you will also have the opportunity to Lifeguard at our pool in between lessons alongside assisting with our administration tasks.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when needed.

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
