Job summary

Freedom Leisure in Stone is seeking a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, helping them achieve their goals.

You will work casually as needed, with training and Enhanced DBS checks provided, supporting a welcoming, inclusive environment and opportunities to grow within the charity’s community facilities.

Qualifications

• Teach swimming to children and adults within the Leisure Centre's programme.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about child progress.
• Assist in supervising pool area and ensure safety and discipline.
• Demonstrate excellent communication with customers.

In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons at our Stone Leisure Centre to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

In the event that a high volume of suitable applications are received, the post may close prior to the specified closing date.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when needed.

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• High level of professionalism and integrity, enthusiasm and motivation.
• Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification (training can be provided)
• Enhanced DBS check
