Job summary

Virgin Active in Northampton is seeking a Swim Instructor to join the Family Activities Team. This is a 0-hour role with zero hours scheduled, focusing on engaging swimming lessons that build confidence and skills among members of all ages.

You will promote sessions, follow national teaching plans, ensure safety, and deliver exceptional service while supporting the overall swim programme’s success.

Qualifications

• To be successful, you’ll need Swim England/ASA Level 2 in Teaching Swimming or STA Level 2 Certificate.
• Exceptional communication skills and experience in a customer facing environment.
• Able to connect with members and provide friendly, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure poolside activities and lessons are delivered to a high standard.
• Develop creative classes following the national plan for Teaching Swimming.
• Provide a safe, engaging environment for members in the pool area.
• Deliver excellent customer service with personal attention to members.
• Accurately complete attendance and progress records for targets.
• Collaborate with Swim management to meet department objectives.
