Job description

Job Title: Swimming Teacher

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver swimming lessons according to the scheme of work and lesson plans.
  2. Integrate the programme reward schemes into classes.
  3. Ensure safe use of all equipment and adherence to safety standards, including undertaking dynamic risk assessments.
  4. Assess swimmers' abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential.
  5. Explain and demonstrate modern, accurate swimming techniques.
  6. Develop swimmers' techniques and identify ways to improve performance.
  7. Create a positive, fun environment to motivate and encourage swimmers.
  8. Evaluate sessions and provide feedback.
  9. Regularly assess each swimmer's ability and progress, and arrange for the appropriate certificates via our online portal.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher - STA or Swim England.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards swimming.
  • Good communication skills; ability to inspire confidence and motivate swimmers.
