Job summary

The London Office of a Foreign Bank is seeking an Operations Officer to manage back-office payments and settlements, including SWIFT, Nostro reconciliations, and SSI management. You will work with the operations team reporting to the Operations Manager to ensure accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance across daily activities.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in a banking operations environment.
• Experience with SWIFT payments and Nostro reporting & reconciliations is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor daily SWIFT payments and other settlement activities.
• Maintain Nostro accounts records and support account openings, transitions and closures.
• Maintain SSIs and liaise with counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
• Create and verify transaction records and loan ledger entries in the Core Banking System (ABIS).
• Perform daily bookkeeping and ledger reconciliations.
• Support the Compliance Team with policies and controls.
