We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join an exciting long-term engagement in Galway. This role offers the chance to work on delivering web applications and new features for high-profile clients within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests including unit, functional, and regression tests.
• Contribute to QA automation strategy for client-facing applications.
• Support the team in building scalable, maintainable, and testable software.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve test coverage, release velocity, and system reliability.
• Review application and test code within the Scrum team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong background in UI automation (Selenium; exposure to Playwright is a plus).
• Experience with API automation (e.g. RestAssured).
• Comfort writing and executing SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber BDD.
• Ability to read Java code as it relates to automation (bonus if interested in contributing to development).
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated deployment tools.
