Job summary

HM Land Registry is seeking a Lead Software Developer to provide technical leadership and support engineering teams across England and Wales. You will drive design decisions and oversee the delivery of high-quality software for a range of digital services.

Permanent role with a salary of £58,500–£72,700, plus 29% employer pension contribution and Civil Service benefits. Flexible, hybrid working from 14 UK locations.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience across the full lifecycle.
• Experience leading teams and providing technical direction.
• Experience maintaining and improving existing/brownfield systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software design and technical decision-making.
• Lead and support a team of developers, providing direction throughout delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and delivery teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Support development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvements.
