Job summary

A company is seeking a Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities Team in Rotherham. Social Worker- Children with Disabilities
£35.00 per hour

About the role:

Social work post within the Children's Disability Team.
  • If successful you will be expected to be office based for a minimum of 3 days per week, however this could be more depending on the demands of the service
  • Previous experience of working with children with disabilities, either in a current post of recent social work post
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced social worker who can work autonomously and be a team player, to support and work alongside colleagues within the team.
The role requires social workers to;
  • have good communication skills, working with children who are non-verbal and have individual communication needs
  • complete assessments for children and their families
  • Undertake court work and PLO work
  • Complete short breaks assessments
  • workwith a variety of professionals in health, education and social care
  • Cover duty within the team
  • respond to safeguarding matters and carry out section 47 enquiries where appropriate

To be considered for this post you must be registered with Social Work England and at least 3 years’ post qualifying experience across permanent positions in England.

What you need:
  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Care Wales/ Social Work England
  • Completed relevant post-qualifying training
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and written skills
