As the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Ideagen, you will be a key strategic leader responsible for the overall success of our product engineering initiatives. You will report directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping the software engineering direction of the company. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of product engineering and will partner closely with Product Management and User Experience. You will lead the engineering teams responsible for the development of all our products, ensuring the delivery of best in class, scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering organisation, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Set the technical strategy and architectural direction, ensuring the delivery of best in class, scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.
• Cultivate an environment that attracts, develops, and retains elite engineering talent while promoting an inclusive workplace culture that encourages innovation and professional growth.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Agile principles to continually raise the bar, reducing time to value and market.
• Establish and optimize development processes that enable rapid experimentation and learning while maintaining high quality standards.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to ensure Ideagen remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Report metrics and status reports that demonstrate the overall health of initiatives, communicating project status, issues, and action item tracking.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking related to a wide range of technology and software-development practices.

Skills and Experience

• Proven engineering experience in software product development, including managing high-performance teams.
• Experience managing software engineering at scale, leading teams of 500+.
• Proven track record of leading and inspiring large, globally distributed engineering teams.
• Exceptional communicator that motivates and inspires teams to fulfil their potential.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
• Experience managing multiple functional areas within technology such as architecture, software development, cloud operations, and production support.
