Job Description:

Venture Search is partnered with a Tier 1 multi-asset investment manager with a strong track record across both private and public strategies. As part of their growth, they are seeking a Sales Director to join their London-based team. This is a strategic hire to help drive capital raising efforts and deepen relationships with institutional investors across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute capital raising activities for our private market strategies (Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure).
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with institutional investors across Europe, with a strong emphasis on the UK.
  • Work closely with investment and product teams to position strategies effectively with prospective clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and initial engagement through to closing and onboarding.
  • Monitor market trends, investor appetite, and regulatory developments to inform business development strategy.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including product development, legal/compliance, and senior leadership to ensure alignment of goals and messaging.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in institutional sales, capital raising, or business development at a GP or a placement agent.
  • Proven ability to raise capital for private markets funds (PE, Private Credit, Infrastructure) from institutional investors.
  • Deep and active relationships with European institutional investors—particularly UK pension funds, insurance companies, consultants, and family offices.
  • Strong understanding of private market investment products and their fit within institutional portfolios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex products clearly and persuasively.
