Job summary

Sutton Housing Partnership seeks a Sutton Connect Housing Support Coordinator to assist residents in Carshalton and surrounding areas. The role is on the road/in the field, 36 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months, with a Band 2 grade; salary £31,719–£34,616 per annum.

The post requires experience in support services, literacy/numeracy, and the ability to write reports, maintain records, and work independently with vulnerable clients.

  • Communicate calmly and clearly with vulnerable people, and with emergency services and staff.

About the Role and our Ideal Candidate
  • Good knowledge and experience of working in a support or similar service.
  • Be literate and numerate to a level required to do the job in a professional and accurate manner

  • Communicate calmly, clearly and appropriately, in person and on the telephone, with a wide variety of vulnerable people, some of whom will have disabilities and the emergency services and other staff

About Us

Sutton Connect is a short intervention service and offers essential support to residents aged 55 and over living in the London Borough of Sutton and Sutton Housing Partnership tenancies who wish to maintain independent living in their property, but require additional assistance.

We support residents with skill development to help them sustain their accommodation, offering information, guidance, and access to services and activities that will enhance their independence, health and wellbeing.

Our team members consist of a Housing Support Manager, Two full time Coordinators and one part time coordinator. All members of the team bring a wealth of knowledge and experience around supporting our residents, with Benefit Maximisation and applications, Housing applications, and generally sustaining their tenancies. We work together as a proactive, friendly team and share our experiences, knowledge, and ideas to support the SHP HOME Values, this extends to the Independent Living Team.
