Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Sustainment Controller to support an aerospace client in Yeovil. The role focuses on sustaining NAWSARH equipment, managing KPIs, and delivering timely spare parts through close collaboration with customer and internal teams.

You will build strong relationships with customer equivalents, monitor asset return times, and prepare concise reports to drive continuous improvement in availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of the Customer's organisation structure, processes and procedures.
• Detailed knowledge of the Customer’s systems - IES / Wingman.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Material supply process from Supplier to Customer.
• 2 years’ experience in a supply related business / Military Discipline.
• Detailed operating knowledge of supply process and systems.
• Capable communicator with ability to interface and influence within customer and company domain.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to conduct multi-discipline discussions.
• Awareness of aircraft roles including spares and product knowledge.
• Adaptable and flexible to changing needs of a Service Delivery environment.
• Knowledge of rotary wing support operations, organisation and processes.
• Knowledge of the Customer planning and operational activities relating to Material supply and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sustainment of NAWSARH in-scope equipment to ensure asset availability against KPIs.
• Apply KPI 2C focus for delayed replenishment of parts and Norway SDP support to Workshop Production Plan.
• Assist KPI 2B for delayed delivery of parts and timely provision of spare parts.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships with management representatives in the customer domain.
• Monitor UART to ensure contracted levels and coordinate with MS to meet supply requirements.
• Prepare reports, briefs and presentations; assess availability performance and inventory levels to exceed service levels.

Job description

Morson Edge currently have an opportunity for a Sustainment Controller to work on behalf of our aerospace client in Yeovil. This is an ongoing contract.

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver a full range of responsive, customer focused goods and services which:

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

• Managing the sustainment of the NAWSARH in-scope equipment to ensure the availability of assets in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Apply dedicated focus to KPI 2C - Delayed replenishment of Parts and the sustainment of the Norway Stock Distribution Plan (SDP) Support (where appropriate) to the Workshop Production Plan and general R2 requirements.
• Assist (where appropriate) to KPI 2B - Delayed Delivery of Parts and the timely provision of spare parts to mitigate aircraft and KPI 2 B risk. The role will necessitate engaging with both internal stakeholders and organisations to ensure timely delivery of the contracted service and outputs.
• Develop and maintain the customer relationships required to support the delivery of the contract, ensuring a close liaison is established with management representatives within the customer domain.
• Monitor UART (Unserviceable Asset Return Time) to ensure that it is maintained at the contracted level. Develop an efficient and effective relationship with the core MS organisation to ensure that present and future supply requirements are met. When material supply issues are encountered, ensure that you take ownership of the problem and drive all areas of the business to a satisfactory solution.
• Prepare specific reports, briefs and presentations as required. Achieve and (where appropriate) exceed the contracted service levels by continuous assessment of availability performance, inventory levels, process methodology and performance.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (essential/desirable)

• Have a sound knowledge of the Customers organisation structure, processes and procedures.

• Have a comprehensive knowledge of the Material supply process from Supplier to Customer.
• Have 2 years’ experience in a supply related business / Military Discipline.
• Possess a detailed operating knowledge of supply process and systems.

• Have the ability to interface and influence within the customer and company domain.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct multi-discipline discussions.
• Maintain a degree of awareness of the roles of the aircraft including spares and product knowledge.
• Be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of a Service Delivery environment.
• Knowledge of rotary wing support operations, organisation and processes. Knowledge of Logistic and Material supply techniques.
• Knowledge of the Customer planning and operational activities relating to Material supply and inventory management.

Hours - 37 hours per week, 5 days
Holiday accrued for up to 37 hours per week worked
Overtime -Any overtime worked must be authorised
