Job summary

Anglian Water seeks a Process Engineer to design, model, and optimise water and wastewater treatment processes across the region. You will balance technical excellence, safety, and long‑term value while supporting feasibility, design, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Design water/wastewater treatment processes and sewerage/water systems.
• Apply hydraulics, unit processes, capacity assessments and pump design in projects.
• Produce data sheets and process documentation.
• Review third-party equipment via technical bid reviews.
• Apply process safety principles including LOPA and DSEAR in designs.
• Collaborate on integrated 3D models with design teams.
• Ensure POSWSH and POSWASTE compliance.
• Prepare technical documents to meet standards and timescales.
• Support health and safety through CDM-compliant designs.
• Provide technical guidance during project delivery and escalate issues affecting time/cost/quality.

Responsibilities

• Design water or wastewater treatment processes and sewerage/water systems.
• Undertake process calculations including hydraulics and capacity assessments.
• Produce technical deliverables such as data sheets and process docs.
• Analyse third‑party equipment via bid reviews.
• Apply process safety principles (LOPA/DSEAR) in designs.
• Collaborate on integrated 3D models with design teams.
• Ensure POSWSH/POSWASTE compliance.
• Prepare documents meeting standards and timelines.
• Deliver safe, compliant designs under CDM guidance.
• Provide technical guidance during project delivery and flag issues.
