Procurement Strategy & Services is part of the Finance, , Strategy, Planning & Analytics Directorate and was established to help the University deliver best value from its spending.
The primary role of Procurement Strategy & Services is to work with Faculties, Departments and external organizations to ensure the achievement of these key goals:

The Sustainable Procurement Project Officer will work with staff at King’s and Suppliers to King’s in order to achieve the University’s Sustainability Objectives. In particular you will help progress the delivery of procurement related goals in the University’s Climate Action Plan.
You will also act as the single point of contact in the Procurement Team for questions relating to sustainable procurement and gather the necessary information in response. This will include assisting colleagues to co-ordinate the University’s submissions to sustainability-related rankings and league tables, together with the production of key sustainability reports, including the annual King’s Sustainability Report and SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Report.
You will also review current procurement policies to ensure they align with corporate objectives and best practice by collaborating with relevant colleagues inside and outside of King’s.
This is a fixed term contract of 18 months to undertake an important sustainable procurement project. Flexible working is on offer including part time work depending on the candidate’s ability to deliver the required outcomes.
