Job summary

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) London is seeking a design-focused architect/interior designer with a strong conceptual ability to advance project components through integrated criteria across interiors and architecture. You will contribute to a global practice, collaborating with engineers, architects and designers to deliver high-impact projects.

The role requires knowledge of BIM/CAD standards and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, and the Adobe suite, with experience across

Qualifications

• Completion of a professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Effectively communicates with the project team and consultants through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, VR, Adobe Suite, parametric and rendering software, and other graphic software.
• Actively implements BIM/CAD project standards and procedures.
• Portfolio and CV mandatory; must show design process from sketches to schematic development.

Responsibilities

• Creates and innovates with a strong conceptual design ability and integrates interdisciplinary criteria to advance project components.
• Understanding of interiors and architectural materials, building systems, codes, and construction techniques.
• Enriches design concepts through technical strategies and researches, documents at all project phases.
• Manages time and workload to meet deadlines with direction from project leaders.
• Collaborates at project and consultant levels, evaluating ideas critically and constructively.
