We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Strategy Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working directly with Planet Mark members to help shape and define net zero and ESG strategy for their organisations. This role will be responsible for helping shape strategies to support net zero transformation within our member organisations, a core component of the Planet Mark Net Zero Certification Programme.


What that means day to day
  • Work with members to lead on delivery of the net zero strategy phase of the Planet Mark Net Zero Certification Programme.
  • Analyse strategic sustainability priorities and how they are tracked and executed across the organisation.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders and executives to define their strategic vision, sustainability motivations, and roadmap, with supporting business cases.
  • Work closely with all Planet Mark Teams to understand latest thinking, solutions, and emerging technology to help inform decision making and strategic approach.
  • Support delivery of educational workshops as a technical subject matter expert.
  • Maximise the value proposition from the engagement by reducing cost and time to market for initiatives.
  • Continuously contribute to thought leadership and perform ongoing market research related to innovation, providing insight on industry trends, technology, challenges, and best practice.
  • Remain up to date on relevant cross-sector frameworks and industry standards.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders - both internal and external.
  • Any other duties that may be defined.
What you'll need to be successful
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in sustainability consulting or strategy development.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sustainability strategies that result in tangible impact.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills across a variety of in-person and virtual interactions.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a concise and detail-oriented style.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental change.
