This encompasses, amongst others, the smooth and accurate execution of PoS workflows, ISCC certification tracking, the verification or calculation of GHG-based escalation costs or revenues in line with contracts, timely settlement of invoices, maintaining up-to-date mass balance records across storage locations, and report preparation for regulatory deadlines.
- Keeping company profiles and declarations up to date on portals such as ISCC Hub, Nabisy, UDB, and CBAM Portal, ensuring all regulatory obligations are met.
- Maintenance of all records and documentation in an audit-ready state, ensuring consistent archiving, version control, and naming conventions, liaising with suppliers, clients, and certification bodies to collect and verify sustainability claims and certificates when needed.
- Preparation for and participation in internal and external audits, e.g., for ISCC, including maintaining a robust internal documentation trail, evidence gathering and audit follow-up.
- Understanding of how to apply national and regional (e.g., EU-level) frameworks relevant to trading, sustainability and GHG reporting and keep abreast of policy developments that are likely to affect the business, including participation in relevant industry groups.
- Collaboration with colleagues across trade desks, operations, legal, and compliance/ESG, supporting with accurate sustainability documentation and recordkeeping.
- Acting as the point of contact for external verification bodies, regulators, and clients on sustainability matters.
Requirements
- Completed studies in environmental or natural science, sustainability, business, engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in operations, sustainability/regulatory compliance, risk management, or carbon accounting – preferably in a trading house, logistics company, consultancy, or industrial context.
- Solid understanding of operational workflows, mass balance systems and/or GHG emissions reporting. Familiarity with ISCC or similar certification schemes as well as audit experience are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel and ideally experience with relevant systems (ERP/trade management systems, CEEMAS, Nabisy, ISCC Hub, etc.).
- Analytical mindset, high attention to detail and comfortable handling, structuring and interpreting data.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working on a multitude of tasks and projects independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in English and German, to collaborate effectively with international teams.
