Job summary

A regional housing provider is seeking a Sustainability Officer to support sustainability initiatives and strategies within the organization. Join our team as a Sustainability Officer!

Are you passionate about supporting sustainable change and making a real difference across supply chains?

We're looking for a Sustainability Officer to support the delivery of our Sustainability Strategy and projects across the business. In this role, you'll work closely with the Head of Sustainability (Corporate) and the Sustainability Director to implement various sustainability initiatives, including delivering training, data gathering, and developing action plans to foster a sustainable future.

A key focus will be leading our sustainable procurement approach, ensuring alignment with ISO 20400 principles and integrating Environmental, Social, and Economic considerations into procurement processes, collaborating with procurement teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A degree in environmental studies or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Experience in an environmental or sustainability-related role
• Data management and analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and data presentation
• Strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency
• Proven ability to maintain good working relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level

While this role is home-based, you should be able to travel to Group offices approximately twice a month.
