A leading energy company in the UK is looking for an experienced advisor on social sustainability and human rights. This role involves managing key sustainability initiatives and collaborating across teams to enhance social impact. Offering a salary range of £50,100 to £75,100 plus benefits. The company fosters an inclusive workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in London or another of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, and Reading.
Salary: £50100 – £75100(dependant on experience) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering SSEs short- and long-term social and economic sustainability priorities, as outlined in our Group strategies, plans, and policies. Youll help bring these ambitions to life by working across teams and projects to embed meaningful social and economic impact.
Were looking for a trusted advisor on human rights and other aspects of social sustainability, including economic impact and large capital projects. Youll help guide and influence how SSE manages, reports, and improves its approach to social sustainability-setting thoughtful standards and practices that align with our wider goals.
Reporting directly to the Head of Social and Economic Sustainability, youll collaborate closely with colleagues across SSE including our Health & Safety, HR, and Procurement teams. Your work will help build value through enhanced sustainability credentials and create opportunities for leadership and innovation in this space.
