An energy company focusing on sustainability is seeking a trusted advisor on human rights to shape its social and economic impact. In this role, you will lead initiatives related to sustainability, collaborate with various teams, and support stakeholders. The position offers a competitive salary range of £50,100 - £75,100 and includes benefits like private healthcare discounts and flexible working options.
This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering SSE’s short- and long-term social and economic sustainability priorities, as outlined in our Group strategies, plans, and policies. You’ll help guide and influence how SSE manages, reports, and improves its approach to social sustainability—setting thoughtful standards and practices that align with our wider goals. Your work will help build value through enhanced sustainability credentials and create opportunities for leadership and innovation in this space.

Acting to address the challenge of climate change sits at the core of SSE’s strategy. We’ve linked our long-term business goals to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our Sustainability teams provide advice, support and education to lead change, embed best practice, and keep us on track with our goals.
Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 (dependent on experience) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
